David John diaries, 1856-1908.

Handwritten diaries, microfilm copies, and transcripts of the diaries. The diaries include copies of correspondence. John relates his experiences as a missionary; numerous dreams and visions of deceased family members, God, Jesus Christ, biblical characters, Joseph (1805-1844) and Hyrum Smith (1800-1844), and hosts of angels; and reports of sermons given by Brigham Young and other presidents and apostles of the Mormon Church. John also documents his daily activities.
